As the midterm exams are fast approaching, you might want to find a cozy place to write your papers, conduct meetings, and study for the first wave of exams this summer. Pressured? Fear not because here’s our review of six study hubs near the campus.

CIA reviewed them according to affordability, ambiance, availability of Wi-Fi, quietness, and business hours.

McDonald's
Most of us might have already dined at this affordable fast food restaurant not just to have a quick meal but to conduct group meetings or study sessions. This 24-hour “study hub” offers food and beverages ranging from as low as P25 to P172, and since this is basically a diner, don't expect that it’s gonna be quiet. So to keep your head cool while studying, you might want to enjoy a McFloat or a sundae with friends.

Boston Café
Famous for being an all-nighter study hub, Boston offers coffee and other beverages like teas and juices with prices ranging from P70 to P125. The interiors are pretty much cozy with vibes of a café-library. Since most people who come here visit the place to study or use their laptops to surf the Internet, it’s quiet most of the time. If you’re looking for a place for an all-nighter where Wi-Fi is available, Boston Café is the place to go!

Café Ella
Located at LB Centtro, Café Ella offers a wide variety of pastries, meals, beverages with prices ranging from P40 to P185 pesos. Having comfortable couches aside from the usual wooden table sets, Café Ella is really the place to do your acads while enjoying your favorite drink and relaxing at the same time! Café Ella is open from 7am to 11pm.

Tea To Jeri’s
If you’re looking for a place that’s not only affordable but also has Wi-Fi connection, Tea to Jeri’s is the place to be! There are two hubs to choose from: one located along Grove, near KFC and the other in Casa de Felicidad, near Raymundo Gate. Tea to Jeri’s offers its affordable pastries and teas, Wi-Fi connection, and conducive-for-studying ambiance from 10AM to 11PM.

Ristretto
If you’re running out of creative juices, Ristretto will surely take you back to your let’s-do-this mood. With Wi-Fi connection, delectable food and drinks, and quiet café setting, what more is there to ask for? The hub is open from 10AM to 10PM and is nestled in Vega G/F.

Coffee Blends
Already sleepy? Count on Coffee Blends to keep you awake! The peaceful, made-for-studying café ambiance surely makes up for the absence of Wi-Fi connection—this means no Twitter or Facebook or other distractions for you! If you have an exam the next day and you really need to squeeze in everything in your head, Coffee Blends is willing to offer its help from 5PM to 12MN.
